Family Hero Brings ISR Mission Home with Thank You Photo

There are so many exciting things happening across the nation with Infant Swimming Resource. Our Instructors have been busy preparing for the summer swimming season, and we recently launched a new partnership with the Tampa Metropolitan Area YMCA that is bringing more ISR Self-Rescue™ lessons to families in Hillsborough County, Florida through the ISR Powered by CrossFit Kids initiative.

And with all of the activity that has our teams working at breakneck pace, this one special photo made us all stop and reflect on the true impact of our mission ensuring that Not One More Child Drowns.

The ISR Powered by CrossFit Kids initiative is working to bring ISR Self-Rescue™ lessons to deserving communities throughout the United States. Together, we are working to provide lesson scholarships to the children of fire fighters, police officers and military personnel.

Levi Sutton’s children received two of the first scholarships awarded at the South Tampa YMCA. Levi serves in the military and had the opportunity to watch his children during the fourth week of their ISR Self-Rescue™ lessons while on leave. His delight in seeing his children perform the survival swimming skills warmed our hearts. Our team was touched to share the special moment when Levi saw his children confidently performing the ISR ISR Self-Rescue™ skills that would ensure their safety in and around water. Levi expressed how important it was for him to share the confidence that his family would be safe as he was set to soon deploy on his next mission.

Levi received an ISR Powered by CrossFit Kids t-shirt that he was planning to bring with him toAfghanistan. He wanted to share his family’s experience with other military families and he planned to have the t-shirt signed by his team to show his appreciation for the lesson scholarships that his children received. Before Levi was to be deployed, his barracks caught fire due to a faulty propane valve. Luckily, Levi and his team were not injured, but the t-shirt was burned in the fire that ensued.

Our team was incredibly humbled to hear his story, and it was a tremendous honor to have received the above photo, which features the nation’s finest men and women, who accomplish unimaginable feats in serving our country, showing their appreciation for our efforts to protect infants and young children at home.

We cannot thank our military families enough for their service, and we thank Levi and his family in Florida and at the front line for supporting our mission. On behalf of everyone at Infant Swimming Resource and CrossFit Kids – THANK YOU!
