Infant Swimming Resource Reviews:

We came to Lisa in the summer of 2023 after months of waiting because of a traumatic experience my 5-year-old Owen had the year before. In the winter of 2022 I signed my son up Owen up for swim lessons in the community center pool here in Franklin. I told the swim coach there that my son had no swimming lessons whatsoever. In our first lesson, while the community center instructor was holding Owen, she then proceeded to let go of him. He was flailing in the water where he could not touch for over 20 seconds. I was about to jump in, yet he eventually got a hold of the wall by himself. She did not help him AT ALL, and stared at me blankly about why I was upset. When he finally got his breath and was crying, we left immediately. I grew up around a lake and had swim lessons with those instructors. I had never seen this method of teaching. Since that time, understandably, Owen had a phobia of pools and any facial submersion. The first few lessons with Lisa were full of screaming, tears and panic. We thought he may not even be able to participate in Lisa's lessons. But Lisa did not give up on us. Lisa called me in the evenings after her work hours for the first few weeks. Over the phone while Owen was sleeping, we could strategize how to best help my child be successful. I was in the pool doing lessons with him as well. In the evenings after lessons, he would practice with me in a large outdoor pool in our community with the new skills he was learning. At first we started small with simple facial submersion and practicing holding our breath under water on the steps. Eventually and reluctantly we got comfortable with floating the next week. We then practiced " hovering", or floating with face looking down at the floor. At this point, after about 3 exhausting weeks, Owen was finally feeling more comfortable! He took off in the rate that he was achieving his swim skills. Within 6 weeks, my once crying and terrified son with PTSD was a competent, happy and proud child jumping off the deep end and showing us how he was swim back to the wall. He was swimming and back floating across the pool multiple times - no issue! I am so proud of him and all the work that he put in. I am also so relieved to have found the ISR program and especially Lisa. The summer of 2023 very challenging, but very worth it! Thank you again to Lisa ( I have told her alot haha)! She saves lives.

Signing our little boy up for lessons was the most rewarding thing we could have done especially knowing it could potentially save his life at any point. Mrs Kristen was absolutely wonderful and we can’t wait to sign up for refreshers next year.

Wow! ISR is easily the best investment we've made for our son's water safety! Michele was an amazing swim instructor. She was gentle and kind to not only my son but to us as first-time parents as well. Her communication was incredible, she was always available to discuss my son's progress and any questions we had. ISR has not only gave my son vital survival skills but gave me the confidence to swim with my son. We cannot wait to swim with her again next summer.

Ms. Ofelia is an absolute asset to ISR. Her patience is extraordinary. Both of my kids have made immense strides with their swimming. I am so blown away and so grateful for Ofelia. This entire experience was life changing and I am so grateful we did this. ISR is an absolute must and I will definitely be recommending.

I would highly recommend ISR to anyone and especially with Jessica. She’s amazing! My son isn’t afraid of water at all. I feel SOO much better knowing that he can float and swim properly! We went to the water park over the weekend and my son did everything he was supposed to. An older gentleman commented how he enjoyed watching us and wanted to know all about it 😊

Love ISR lessons. Nina is awesome - my children felt very comfortable swimming with her. I felt comfortable asking Nina about my child's skill attainment and making the decision to keep her in lessons longer.

This is an awesome investment. After finishing up ISR we now have peace of mind knowing there is another line of defense in protecting our little guy in the water. He has done amazing and his confidence of being in the water has grown leeps and bounds. Helena was great with him. She pushed him when he wanted to stop, and the amount of respect he had for her grew. He was so excited to go to class after the 1st week.

We are so impressed with the dramatic improvement in our daughter's ability, which has been incredible to witness. There is no question- Brad knows what he's doing, and his instruction is effective. ISR has been a worthwhile investment for our family, and we plan to stick with it as our baby grows- not only for her safety, but the opportunities it provides her to be active, get some sunshine, learn to trust in herself and feel a sense of accomplishment.
