We are beyond thrilled with Michelle and our ISR experience. Michelle was very gentle and our daughter picked up all the skills that we were hoping she would in this program. On the final day, our daughter was smiling and laughing throughout her session, and we think that itself is a huge testament of Michelle's abilities and the ISR program. Our 13 month old daughter felt very comfortable in the water, with her instructor, and in her own abilities to do self rescue. We cannot thank Michelle enough for the remarkable ISR experience she provided for our daughter. We are absolutely ecstatic and proud of the accomplishments our daughter achieved under Michelle's guidance. We wholeheartedly and enthusiastically recommend Michelle Alfaro as an ISR instructor, and well as the ISR lessons.
We share ISR with everyone, our friends, family, parents we meet at libraries, parks etc. We highly recommend lessons with Mrs. Marissa and our toddler proudly tells them she knows how to "swim-float-swim". One of the best investments we've made and our daughter absolutely loves it and looks forward to her lessons. Thank you so much! We love and appreciate Mrs. Marissa for her kind and compassionate spirit as well as her expert knowledge and patience. Always very professional and able to ease the worries of her students and parents. We will always come back for refreshers as well as lessons for our future kiddos.
This is truly such a blessing! As a nurse who saw 7 drowning cases in 3 months in the ER during her Pediatric rotations I realized there was a huge need to teach children safety skills in the water. Our daughter has has her own personal health issues, one being GERD and is medicated. Anessa was super attentive and customized the experience to keep Kinsley safe and she was still able to teach her the skills. She was a tad more feisty, but Anessa was so great and patient with her. We are so incredibly thankful!
I learned about ISR sadly, when a friend's 18 month old daughter drown in a pool only a few feet away from her. I promised I would not let that happen to me. I got BEYOND lucky with the most outstanding instructor. Lisa is an absolute angel and gem as a human and in the ISR space and water safety in general. Her way of teaching is so calming yet, direct and my daughter was impressing me from day ONE. She picked up everything Lisa taught her right away. By the time we got to week 4, I was in literal tears watching what my little girl was capable of, but also sad for all of the babies that could've possibly been saved. I knew in that moment that I would not be one of them because of what Lisa taught my baby girl. My gratitude is for life and I cannot sing Lisa's praises loud enough, nor that of the ISR program. SO grateful. We have gained a forever friend. Thank you for teaching my baby girl how to save herself and respect the water. I am still in AWE. This program is a treasure. I hope one day that the government will fund it as all families should have this chance. It should be as important as the basic health and wellbeing of ALL children, because it literally can be life and death.
I did a lot of research before signing me daughter up for ISR, so I came into this knowing it would be extremely beneficial, but I was still so blown away by our instructor Nina’s expertise, professionalism, and just how comfortable she made my now 16 month-old in the pool. Nina talked me through everything she was doing to make sure I was also comfortable. I firmly believe every parent of a young child should enroll them in this class. I’m so proud of my little one and the skills she’s established. Thank you, Nina!
I could not be more satisfied with the ISR program and Coach Spaar specifically, than I am. She is truly the best instructor I have ever seen. She is the perfect combination of firm and patient. I have used her off and on for 4 years now between my 2 children (ages 5 and 2) and their skills in the water are truly amazing for their ages. They are both confident and able swimmers/floaters. I will continue to use her as long as I am able and will recommend her as long as she is working.
We had the best ISR experience! Kaylea was amazing- so kind, effective and great with our daughter! We feel so much more at ease with our daughter around bodies of water now and we are very pleased with the skills she learned.
We were shocked at how quickly Wills learned the skills. It is wild seeing your 2 year old go from no water skills to swimming and floating in days! As parents, the highlight has been our son’s confidence in the pool and how proud he is to show our friends and family his skills. We are also very grateful for Janet’s calm demeanor and patience as Wills took a while to warm up to lessons.
