Off the pier we go! We are renovating a lake house and wanted to see the finished pier and boat house. It was a beautiful Sunday afternoon, though HOT, so we decided to take a swim. I should preface this with the fact we have twin 2 year old boys.... The boys took off after their daddy ready to climb down the ladder to the water. Jax cautiously followed daddy to the ladder and 'allowed' daddy to help him take off his shirt. Jet is more independent these days and decided to do it himself while walking to daddy. He had just gotten his shirt above his head when he stepped right off the dock. In slow motion, I could see my baby drop and disappear into murky water (heart attack #, lost count). Daddy jumped in within a second and began scurrying along the bottom feeling around for Jet. When he couldn't find him, he opened his eyes and looked up to see Jet's bright orange bathing suit floating on the surface. Jet came up floating IMMEDIATELY! Without fright...floating! Talk about relief, not just for ! us parents but also for his grandparents who were on the brink of a heart attack themselves. The dock is 3 1/2 feet above the water which is 4 feet deep. For the rest of the afternoon the boys took turns jumping off the dock and coming up to a float then swimming fearlessly - AMAZING! The week before, while at swim class with Ms Araceli Merkle, my husband said to me 'there is no way they will float'. No faith...until this very moment happens you cannot fully value the importance of these lessons. This is our second summer with Ms Araceli. We just adore her and are indebted to her for aiding our boys with the ability to survive around water. She saved our lives!

My son is 22 and my daughter is 17. I enrolled them in ISR when they were 6 and 8 months old. It's the best thing I ever did!! We are always in the water and their life saving skill was a must. While at a friends for dinner, my son "fell" in the pool while we were swimming. I had been telling them about the program and they were very skeptical until they witnessed my 8 month old son crying BUT floating on his back!!They enrolled the next day. I spoke with another friend about the program that decided to enroll in traditional classes with floaties and toys and mom in the pool. Sadly, her son drowned in their own pool with a child proof fenced pool, while enrolled in the traditional swimming program. This was a terrible tragedy that reinforced my decision to stay with ISR. Warning: this is not for the parent that can't separate their emotions from the lessons their child will receive. Yes they cry, yes it's sometimes hard to watch. The end result is worth it. When you see your child develop the motor skills to flip over from a floating position and propel themselves to the side of the pool, the smile on your face will reinforce and reward them that what their doing is ok and good for them! Don't miss out on this opportunity for your child!!!! Rob was their instructor a long time ago and he was great!

My daughter started out about a month and a half ago and she hated the water! We had a wonderful teacher named Nancy Wilcox and she really made a huge impact on my daughter who is 14 months now and unfortunately we are moving or else she would stay all summer! She now just within a month she can be put face first in the water and immediately turn over and float! She cries a little which is good but really enjoys the water now as well. The caring and focus on my daughter that the teacher took each session was incredible! I really feel safe with having her around a pool now ;)

My 2 year old daughter Capri finished week 4 of the training and we attended a pool party at a friends house. As she walked around the pool ahead of her mom she slipped into the deep end. Immediately the adults went into action to get her and after falling in she went straight to her float position. She got out of the pool and went about her business not thinking twice about it.

At 22 months Luca began taking ISR. He is now 41 months and shocking the guests at our resort in Turks and Caicos for a second year. We hired a professional photographer to do both water and portrait photos. Here is a photo of Luca swimming in paradise. We kept spreading the word about ISR at the resort as parents could not believe how well Luca could swim. What fun we had swimming with Luca all week! Thanks ISR!

My 6-year-old son was scared to learn how to swim, and he wouldn't let me help him no matter what. Susannah St. Peter made a place for us in her schedule and in 3 days he is swimming like a fish! He has fallen in love with swimming and wants to do it all the time now. I am so excited and completely in awe of what she accomplished in such a short time. Susannah has a special touch with her students. I feel blessed that we were able to work with her. Susannah is an asset! Anyone can see that she loves what she does and her students benefit greatly from having her as an instructor.

Thank you ISR i was a nonbeliever at 1st. I inquired on ISR and researched and I am so happy we found Kleynin Catalano our ISR instructor. From the 1st contact we knew our son William would do great with her instruction she was so patient and understanding. A very kind and highly motivated instructor. She taught our son how to not just survive but to swim! I highly encourage all parents to sign their little ones up for ISR you will not regret it! William has now completed 5 weeks of instruction and he can swim! Honestly the best investment we have done for our son! He is only 2 years old!!! Thank you ISR and thank you Kleynin! We will forever be grateful.
