My children, Francisco (5 years old) and Thomas (2 and 1 / 2 years old) completed the ISR course in Buenos Aires, in December 2010.
After the course we went on vacation and my children spent the summer swimming very confident and happy in the water, both floating, rotating and reaching the edge perfectly. It was really wonderful as they swam in both familiar and unfamiliar pools.
In July 2011, Thomas (2 years old) followed his father, who was looking for a pool toy, and fell into the water. He was fully clothed, wearing a sweater, tennis shoes, pants and a diaper. Thomas was out of the pool in less than 5 seconds. When he fell into the water, he fell in backwards, immediately began swimming to the steps (about 3 or 4 seconds) and then exited the pool by himself. At the time, I was at 2 meters distance, and the truth is that he came out so fast that we were not scared. The most impressive was the speed and ease with which he came out. Once out of the water he began to cry, because he hated wearing wet clothes!
Then in September 2011, Francisco (5 years old) was looking for a little car from the pool. It had just rained, so the edge of the pool was all wet and he slipped. He fell in the middle of the pool and swam to the nearest edge.
Since the end of the lessons, I have been very happy with the results. It is amazing how my children swim, and do so with ease and confidence. I am still shocked at how well my children performed their skills and got out of the water.
I recommend ISR's Self-RescueTM method extensively and I want to tell all parents that ISR really makes a difference. If my children had not taken the course, the story I told probably would not have had such a happy ending.
I am very grateful to ISR and our Instructor, Patricia, who not only gave me the opportunity and peace of mind that my children were and are protected from drowning, but also to enjoy the water.
Thanks again!
