Water Safety Events in Brevard County

Second Annual Not One More Child Drowns 5K, Walk & Water Safety Day, and Inaugural Water Safety & Fun Day to take place in May

Brevard County, FL - Infant Swimming Resource (ISR, www.infantswim.com), the safest provider of survival swimming lessons for children from six months to six years old, today announced that its Brevard County Instructors will be hosting its second annual “Not One More Child Drowns 5K, Walk & Water Safety Day” at the Wickham Park Amphitheater on Saturday, May 14th, and its first Water Safety and Fun Day at Cocoa Beach Aquatics Center on Saturday, May 1st.

The 5K, walk and water safety day aim to raise awareness and educate families in Brevard County about water safety and drowning prevention and raise funds for a scholarship program for families in need of swim lessons.

Water Safety & Fun Day at Cocoa Beach Aquatics Center

Sponsored by the Brevard County ISR Instructors, the City of Cocoa Beach and the American Red Cross, this fun filled day will have water safety stations including information from the Consumer Product Safety Commission’s Pool Safely campaign, www.poolsafely.gov, a visit from Josh the Otter from the Joshua Collingsworth Memorial Foundation, www.joshuamemorial.org, water games for all ages, Paddleboard demonstrations and raffle prizes including free ISR survival swimming lessons. All proceeds for this event provide swimming lesson scholarships for all those in need.

Not One More Child Drowns - 5K, Walk & Water Safety Day

The second annual Not One More Child Drowns 5K, Walk and Water Safety Day will take place on Saturday, May 14, at the Wickham Park Amphitheater in Melbourne, FL.

Hosted by the Brevard County ISR Instructors, race day registration starts at 6:00 a.m. and the race will begin at 7:30 a.m. ET.

If would rather walk for Water Safety Awareness, the walk starts at 9:00 a.m. The Water Safety Day will then begin, and continue until 11:00 a.m. It will include water safety information for parents; face painting, bounce houses, snow cones and much more for your family. Brevard County ISR instructors will be raffling off a grand prize of 6 weeks of ISR lessons, as well as other great raffle prizes from various local supporting businesses.
